Karri Tree Illustration
Australia has some of the tallest and most unique trees in the world. Karri trees have a magnificent smell to them, woody but fragrant. I am very lucky to live around the corner from these amazing forests of these beautiful giants. Towering high enough to block out a lot of light the ground is covered with ferns and you feel like you're in another world as the sound also blocks out.
This is an original acrylic painting on top artist quality watercolour paper of the Karri tree. Focusing on the trunk I've painted soft layers of bark, soft and yet slowly peeling off. Ferns peeking out from the bottom of the trunks.
This illustration features in the "The Book of Australian Trees".
Painted with acrylic on beautiful 300gsm watercolour paper. It is A3 in size (29.7 x 42cm) and will be posted in a flat non bendable mailer. It is signed and dated and will have a certificate of authentication.
