Red Ironbark Tree - original Illustration
Australia has some of the tallest and most unique trees in the world. This painting explores the Red Ironbark. It has super thick layers of bark that peel, age and layer as the tree grows. As I was creating these paintings I wanted to capture the beauty in the trees, give a sense of magic in place, but also inspire the viewer to dream about walking amongst them.
This is an original acrylic painting on top artist quality watercolour paper of the Red Ironbark tree. I wanted to bring focus on how high the trees could grow and the unique colour of their amazing trunks.
This illustration features in the "The Book of Australian Trees".
Painted with acrylic on beautiful 300gsm watercolour paper. It is A3 in size (29.7 x 42cm) and will be posted in a flat non bendable mailer. It is signed and dated and will have a certificate of authentication.
